Stage Two: "Delusion Witch" - Praeyan School of Magic, First Floor

Do you trust your eyes?

They say that 90% of information comes from the eyes, which is not surprising, because you can say a thousand words with a picture painted by an artist.

But we must not forget the other senses – hearing (ears), taste (tongue), touch (skin), smell (nose), kinesthetics (flesh), and most importantly, intuition (heart); because relying only on one sense, we forget the importance of others.

With the help of our ears, we can navigate even in pitch darkness.

With the help of the tongue, we can enjoy the colorful flavors of our food.

With the help of the skin we can feel what we cannot see.

With the help of our nose, we can smell a palette of odors, both bad and good.

With the help of the flesh, we can feel ourselves.

And with the help of the heart, you can experience only the most important.

And find something valuable.

Entering inside, Lucy was horrified - there was chaos everywhere. Magic bullets were flying here and there; seeles were flying everywhere; children were screaming either from joy or from madness; even the building itself was in disarray, there were holes everywhere and it was like walking on glass. Energy projectiles immediately flew in her direction, and she barely dodged. "Hey! Watch where you're shooting!" Lucy screamed, to which they answered, "You're late! Come to us!" Sighing at the madness of her classmates , she began to look for the cause of all the chaos. Entering each class, she saw either enraged students, intoxicated by unimaginable power, or tired teachers guarding more or less "sane" students. But, walking along the first floor, she could not find the stairs up, and she still had to shoot back at the madmen and those strange wisps...

Lucy almost joined the madness herself, but taking a deep breath, she concentrated and sensed the effect of another magic... a rather familiar magic. She began to shoot at each suspicious place, since her bullets, in addition to wounding daemons, neutralize magic. And her guesses were correct - in these places there were the illusory seals, and they have a peculiar signature. Lucy did not want to meet the person who put those seals - as there is a certain history with her... Walking further, getting rid of the illusory seals, she hears a familiar voice.

- " Lucyyyyyyyyy!!!"

Lucy was attacked by her classmate, Roxy Coleman , the daughter of the chief miner of the Comhal Cave. She had sparks of those wisps coming out of her, and she started shooting at Lucy in the hopes of "playing" with her.

A battle ensued - Roxy, with her new power, tried to hit Lucy, which she dodged. And it's good that Lucy dodged these projectiles, because they are quite destructive - blowing up a couple of the school walls and spreading shards everywhere. Somehow these projectiles remind her very much of the magic used by Adrianne...

Roxy began to overexert herself and the muscles could be heard tearing, but despite the damage, Roxy's eyes still burned with the thirst for battle - creating a grotesque picture.

ACT 1 - MY SURPRISE!!

"I feel so wonderful. Truly wonderful ."

Her body twisted and folded. Sparks appeared, flying in a chaotic dance. Lucy continued to shoot her light bullets at Roxy, trying to deactivate the magic inside her. Soon, the sparks began to resemble crystallized hearts, and Roxy had even more control over her newfound power. Lucy concentrated the energy and with focus, she shot Roxy in the heart, causing her to lose consciousness and her power.

Lucy emerged victorious.

Having hidden Rosie's body in a safe place, she then began to hunt for these seals that hide the passage to the second floor. Having destroyed the remaining seals, soon, the illusion was broken. Finally, having found a corridor with a staircase, she met her long-familiar "friend".

- "First you're late, and then you start screwing everything up? That's just your style..."

It was a girl almost the same height as Lucy. She is the daughter of the village chief, which is why she is the "popular" girl in the class. She has long brown hair, which she ties up in a side ponytail, a red headband with a large bow; she is dressed in a sleeveless shirt, a black skirt with a heart and black and white knee socks, making her legs look longer. But her most important feature is her green eyes filled with madness, which allows her to control illusions. And her name is...

THE VISION WITCH – Aislin Dwight

"The Beholder's Charming Eye Socket"

- "Aislin ..." Lucy hissed, but swallowing her pride, she asked - "Why aren't you under the influence of this chaos?"

- "I don't know myself. In general, I guard this floor from these idiots on the orders of our teachers! Like an evacuation. And now because of you I have to cast a spell again, idiot!"

- "Well, please forgive me for wanting to find out why this mess is happening in the first place! Do you know why this is happenung?"

- "...Yes. And most likely because of Adrianne," she answered curtly.

- "What do you mean?! How?!?!"

- "During the lesson, she went upstairs and after that - there was a burst of energy, from which some people began to go crazy. Today she was not herself. Maybe because her friend did not show up." She added mockingly

Unable to bear her mockery, she pointed her gun in her direction, "Let me through." "I don't understand why you're so unwaveringly loyal to Adrianne, being oh-so trigger happy for her," Aislin said . "I know I'm no saint, but that doesn't mean you have to attack so abruptly."

Lucy is silent, Aislin is right, she wants the best for herself, but... She has mocked Adriana more than once, calling her a cripple because she is: firstly, a newcomer and her status could easily collapse, secondly, because of her fragile body that gets hurt even after spells. And she has already attacked her and her friends several times. Having remained to herself, she challenged Aislin to a duel.

- "Even though I understand that you have a duty, I have to find Adri. If you don't let me through, I'll have to weaken you..."

- "What a fool, maybe this energy affected you too," Aislin sighed and took her scepter with the Amducias fruit . The duel began.

After creating a field around herself and Lucy, she immediately began shooting illusory red and green eyeballs. It seemed like there were too many of them, but when she accidentally hit a green projectile, she realized that it was just a fake - only the red projectiles were damaging the protective barrier. As soon as Aislin noticed that Lucy had figured it out, she began her first act.

ACT 1 – DALTONISM

"People see the world differently, and unfortunately, some cannot see it in its full palette. The most common form of color blindness is deuteranopia (blindness to red and green colors)"

As soon as Lucy blinked, she felt as if the colors were taken away from her, and the world became a disgusting mustard color, and she could no longer distinguish greens and reds. Now she can't navigate by her vision. Still, this does not mean that she cannot dodge. Although the projectiles were large, the point of contact with them is smaller - on the pupil itself. An illusion is a deception. Slowly but surely, she began to shoot her projectiles at her, which weakened her opponent and Aislin began a new act.

ACT 2 – AMETROPIA

"Ametropia is a change in the refractive power of the human eye, the consequence of which is that the back focus of the eye does not fall on the retina when the accommodative muscle is relaxed"

- "Go blind, you witch!"

At first the light began to refract, which made the girls' projectiles seem fragmented and slightly doubled, and Lucy's projectiles began to irritate her, because she could not see where she was shooting. It was better to play defensively for now and dodge Aislin's projectiles . "Are you planning on calling a timeout? No way." Aislin wheezed, and now the light no longer refracted, but now the projectiles disappeared after a while, and Lucy still got under them, miraculously staying on her feet. She felt that she could not win this fight, but looking closely, she realized that they always disappeared a meter away from her and she could only dodge them with her memory. She began to shoot in her direction. Which began the third and final phase of this act - Lucy could now see what was in front of her, but now there was only fog. Now Aislin wanted to call a timeout, hypocritically. By watching the trajectory and straining her ears, she was able to determine Aislin's approximate location , and now her projectiles had finally broken her act. Aislin got furious, and she used her final act

FINAL ACT – PARATHYROPSEMIA

"In a world where lies prevail, there will always be truth - which will tear all the curtains!"

Blinking, Lucy found herself in a labyrinth, from the walls of which projectiles were flying. There was only one thing left to do, find the exit and end this delusion! Lucy began to run through the labyrinth, trying to find Aislin to punch her in the face. This labyrinth seemed endless, and the projectiles were still being fired, and Aislin herself was not visible. But then Lucy remembered who she was dealing with, and stopped. The projectiles also stopped, and she looked closely at the walls - this was the same magic that she used for school! Moving carefully, she began to shoot at the walls - and some of them crumbled. She moved through the labyrinth at an accelerated pace, and she reached the very seal that created this entire labyrinth. Lucy shot this seal and the final act was destroyed. Aislin could not believe this. This act, which she thought was impossible, was defeated. Having used up all her energy, Aislin had to give up and end the battle. Lucy was victorious.

- "D-Damn it all! I've been working on this act for days!" Aislin gasped.

- "Well? Can you let me through? There's still Roxy there, you deal with her, okay?"

- "... Yes, I'll let you through. I'll set up a new sal, and then you take care of Adrianne. She seems to be on the roof, she seemed to want to summon a daemon--"

- "A DAEMON?!" Lucy gasped and quickly ran upstairs to stop and save Adrianne.

- "H-Hey! Wait!" - Aislin tried to stop Lucy, but she was too late "Well ... Time to cast illusions again... Sterling..."
