春奇妙夢玄 (Spring Bizarre Dream Mystery) ~ Fleeting Life, Eternal Fantasy
Chapter 3

I've set up a meeting with... Him. He was pretty surprised that I would do something like this after THAT incident which landed me in the hospital. Apparently he was trying to negotiate to cancel the merger and call off the marriage.

While it would've served to my benefit, I need to know what happened. I swear he had done something to him. And I need to get some justice.

"Greetings... Minamoto-san."

"... Speak."

"What?"

"Denjirou. You've met him right? What have you done to him. And make it succinct, I can only tolerate you this much."

"... First, a request. And trust me it's for your OWN benefit. We must seek a place where no one would dare to eavesdrop us. We need to rent a house. Or a hotel number."

"Huh????????????????"

"I will cover the cost, but we really need to discuss this in places where no one would report on us. That's all I can say."

Then he pulled his phone and began to message me.

"They're watching us. Let me find a place. Do not message me back. Make it seem you're just checking weather on the phone."

...

...

...

"There, now no one should watching us."

"Could you PLEASE explain what the hell is going on?"

"I have more questions about how you stayed oblivious to this day. That or perhaps I just don't make a good sleuth if he had noticed me just now."

He then turned to me.

"Let me tell you the whole story. The story that was kept away from you."

That's when I learned the truth of that day.

The incident thirteen years ago, when I was nine years old. On that day, my paternal grandmother did not arrive and when I saw everyone's faces - they were in complete distraught. They tried to hide it, but I knew something was wrong.

A day later I saw a news report on TV, showing a destroyed subway, with bodies being carried away on stretchers, covered up. That's when my father intervened, preventing me from learning the truth. I wasn't allowed to watch TV from that day onward.

I thought it was because I seemed like I was loitering to him, but now I know it's because I would've known why my grandma couldn't come that day.

She was a victim of a terrorist attack. And the people who carried it out... Were Denjirou's parents.

And now, to this day, I was being spied upon by my family in order to "protect" me from danger, even at a cost of my relationship with Denjirou.

That bastard thinks that it may dissuade me from wanting me to see him - to loathe him, but no. This information only sparked more questions I want to ask of him and... Doing something so reckless, while leaving your child behind... It's ruthless.

Unlike him, I've seen Denjirou, and I've seen the aftermath of that stupid decision. Denjirou is now broken thanks to them, always fearful of the world around him, building walls so that no one would ever hurt him again.

I need to see him. To reach out to him. To tell him I understand.

"H-Hey!"

I do not care that I'm watched. I just need to see him, one last time.

I'm coming for you.
