Dreams. They're rather fascinating, no?
A reflection of one's world. Their psyche. Their surroundings. Their emotions.
However, unlike in your world; the dreams work a little differently from what you've come to understand so far about them.
Here, if you wish hard enough with earnesty of your heart, if you truly want it, you can be transposed to another dream.
Of course, such procedure requires a lot of training and mindpower to execute it. Not everyone can do it effortlessly and consciously.
And so...
"Hwuh???..."
I come. Butterfly clad in gold.
"Welcome to the Nexus (Connecting) Plane. I am A******ke - the guardian of this place. I am here to test your capabilities, young man.
At first, do you know who you are?"
"Uhm... I dunno... I just kinda got there..."
"It seems your abilities only began to sprout. You have a strong sense of dream, but a weak sense of self outside of it.
Still, arriving here in the first place is no small feat. You, young man - are a human being, wishing to visit someone. Could you tell me who your heart seeks for?"
"... Yukino... Yukino Minamoto... A fellow student in the medical university."
"I see. So your heart beats for her. Do you understand what visiting her dream would entail? You might witness unspeakable horrors on your trip to her mindspace, after all."
"... I'm ready to face whatever challenges will stand in my way... Just to see her..."
"Great. It seems your determination is unwavering. Very well, I shall connect you to your beloved's dream. Good luck."
And so we say our goodbyes. Butterfly of fleeting memory.
