It's our second year. By now the collective had settled quite nicely and I've become familiar with other group mates.
But my eye always had it for Yukino.
Despite her complaints - she still managed to get pretty good grades, which allows her to earn a decent stipend. Lucky bastard.
I mean I also claw my way out to keep my own stipend, however - it is still a bother that Yukino gets to be even more richer. She's willing to treat me meals, at the very least.
"Mmm! So good!" Yukino smiles as she finishes her bowl.
"You're a fast eater..."
"Well, I'm not forced to have my metabolism to run at the snail's pace unlike you."
"Pain."
We ordered some chicken ramen. Yukino doesn't particularly like Ramen actually (as in she prefers other meals), but she's willing to treat me one.
"I'll give it to you, you have a good eye for places like these." I compliment and she giggles, scratching the back of her head.
"Hehe, well - even though I'm not too hot into stuff, if it's something that makes even me impressed; then it'll impress others as well."
With 'impressive cooking' being brought up,I suddenly remembered something I wanted to do for a long time.
"Gotta start cooking for myself though. I can do basic meals just fine, but... I kinda want to step out of the boundaries and try cooking proper meals like these."
"Huuh... We usually have housemaids to handle the cooking around here. My mother doesn't bother and my dad has no time."
"Have you tried cooking?" I raise my eyebrow and Yukino shakes her head.
"Nah. My parents think it's a waste of time. I will be inheriting their money after all."
If only I could be as carefree as her.
