It's April 8th; a proper start of the second year of highschool. Shinji Terano is an ordinary highschooler with no aspirations in life... Or so it seems. Last year he stumbled across the lucid dreaming phenomena through browsing on the internet - and became interested in it. He trained rigorously by documenting his dreams, in hopes of achieving his elusive lucid dream experience; and one day - he did. And now he finds himself in the strange world, in a middle of peril, responding to its call...
KYO-Mukai Genmaden was initially called "Mukai Reimagined" in an attempt to address some plot holes and inconsistensies. From there, it grew into its own thing with its own canon that happens to use the base premise of the Original "Mukai Genmaden ~ Chain of Lucidity" and its cast. As such, it may be a rather different experience from its progenitor - given that the author uses their own style of writing and explanations.
